Ben Unger – a deeply intimate, yet simple practice
This program has truly amazing people behind it, and it really is a beautiful cause. There is a great need for this type of explorative and experiential education in our community. Not only does mindfulness meditation teach us about ourselves, but it also teaches us how to take care of ourselves at the same time. It can be a deeply intimate, yet simple practice, and it is something that I wish I learned when I was younger, at a time when I was more fresh and didn’t have so many unhealthy habits to break.
Meditation and mindfulness in this context is not a religious practice, but instead more of a tool to help youth cope and understand themselves psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually.
